Amo i tramonti. I tramonti estivi. Amo i tramonti estivi del New Jersey. Perché il cielo qui è un vero e proprio incanto per gli occhi. Nuvole rosa, firmamento rosa, dai toni più tenui a quelli più accesi. Rosa. Resto più volte col naso all’insù e la bocca spalancata di fronte a questo spettacolo della natura, che ho fotografato più volte.

Sì, va bene, bello, ma cosa c’entra con i preferiti del mese? Vi chiederete. C’entra perché la natura per me è sempre fonte di grande ispirazione. Dovremmo sempre lasciarci guidare dalla natura. CosÍ mi è venuta un’idea: mi sono detta,  voglio fare un articolo dei preferiti tutto rosa. Quindi l’intero post stavolta sarà dedicato a me (nonostante abbia fatto anche acquisti per mio figlio, la famiglia e la casa).

Il color rosa per me è legato alla delicatezza, alla femminilità, al sogno e al pensiero positivo. E a proposito di sogni, vi presento i primi favoriti del mese: gli unicorni dell’italiana Dodò-Teté alias Katia Sindoni. Katy realizza personaggi in stoffa e feltro handmade senza cartamodelli, seguendo la propria creatività. Tra le varie nuvolette, giraffe, gocce, sono stata conquistata letteralmente dagli unicorni. Ho scelto così questo cuscino/unicorno rosa per decorazione e questo delizioso portachiavi.

I love sunsets. Summer sunsets. I love New Jersey summer sunsets. That’s when the sky here is pure eye candy. Pink clouds, pink sky, with shades ranging from pastel to the most intense ones. Pink. Most of the time I find myself pointing my noise skyward and with my mouth wide open, struck by this stunning nature show, already captured several times with my camera.

Ok, fine, but how possibly this could be related to the favorites of this month? You’ll probably ask. Well, nature for me has always been a great source of inspiration. We should always let the nature guide us. So an idea came to my mind and I said to myself that this month my favorites would all be colored in pink. So, this time my entry will be only about me (even though I bought things also for my son, the family and the house).

To me, the color pink represents gentleness, womanliness, dream and positive thinking. Speaking of dreams, I’ll start by showing you my first favorites of the month: these unicorns by the Italian brand Dodò-Teté, created by Katia Sindoni. Katy creates handmade soft toys in fabric and felt, with no paper patterns, but made just following her creativity. I prefer unicorns but there are also other subjects like small clouds, giraffes and drops. Therefore I chose this pink unicorn pillow as a decorative item and this cute key chain.

Già la confezione, personalizzata e curata nei minimi dettagli, mostra le abilità della sua creatrice, che non è solo una crafter ma una vera e propria artista.

Starting from the customized package, with a particular attention to details, you can see how incredible this craftswoman is, so much that we could rather call her an artist, instead.

Devo ammettere che anche io come molti del popolo di Instagram sono stata conquistata degli orologi di Daniel Wellington. A Natale scorso ho comprato il modello Classic Sheffield. La cosa divertente di questi orologi è che hanno il cinturino intercambiabile, perciò acquistando un nuovo cinturino, si rinnova l’intero orologio. Ho scelto questo a strisce rosa, bianche e blu.

I admit it! Like many Instagramers I have been seduced by Daniel Wellington’s watches. Last Christmas I bought a Classic Sheffield watch. What’s lovely about these watches is the interchangeable strap. Simply by buying a new strap you can give your old watch a new life. I chose the pink, white and blue striped band watch.

Essendo un’amante dei rimedi dell’ultimo momento, tra i miei preferiti non poteva mancare lo shampoo secco. Ho trovato questo shampoo Batiste a un prezzo ragionevolissimo a TJMAXX. L’ho già usato un paio di volte. Lascia un buon odore e non appesantisce i capelli. Approvato!

I have a thing for last-minute remedies and a dry shampoo is one of them. I tried Batiste dry shampoo and I found it at a very good price at TJMAXX. I already used it a couple of times and it leaves a nice scent on my hair, without making it thick. Approved!

Onestamente non li ho ancora provati, ma sono bellissimi e non  vedo l’ora di “giocarci” un po’.

I ordered it online and it only took a few days to be delivered. The palette is made up of 12 colors, 1 eye primer, 1 shiny powder, 1 better than sex mascara and 6 tips on how to create an eye make-up by using all the products. Honestly, I haven’t tried it yet but it looks awesome and I can’t wait to “play” a little bit.

Se parlo di rosa, non posso non pensare al must have del make up, la beauty blender, questa spugnetta rosa acceso a punta che serve a passarsi il fondo e la cipria in maniera impeccabile. L’ho appena acquistata quindi anche questa sarà da provare.

Speaking of pink, I cannot help it but think about one of make-up must-have: the beautyblender; that mini, hot pink sponge to apply foundation and powder in a flawless way. I just bought it and I still have to test it.

Sempre di Too Faced ho preso i famosi Melted, dei rossetti liquidi e ho capito il perché di tanta popolarità: l’effetto è meraviglioso. Ho preso queste due tonalità Melted Fuchsia e Melted Metallic Peony.

I also bought the popular Too Faced Melted liquid lipsticks and I finally realized why they became so trendy: because they are simply fantastic. I chose Melted Fuchsia and Melted Metallic Peony.

Nel mio ultimo giro da Target ero alla ricerca disperata dei pennelli con le setole rosa di Sonia Kashuk e nemmeno a dirlo, hanno fatto il tutto esaurito in brevissimo tempo. Cosí, per consolarmi, della stessa marca ho preso una crema mani alla tuberosa, ambra e magnolia, non proprio economica ma buonissima, con un odore intenso di fiori che resta a lungo. Sempre da Target ho preso anche due rossetti matte della NYX MLS17 e MLS02 entrambi rosa fucsia, ma di una tonalità diversa l’uno dall’altro. Molto belli in estate con l’abbronzatura.

The last time I went shopping by Target I was desperately looking for Sonia Kashuk’s pink brushes. Of course they went sold out in a very short time. So as a sort of consolation prize I bought a tuberose, magnolia and amber hand cream, always from Sonia Kashuk. The cream is not cheap but is great and has an intense and long-lasting floral fragrance. When I went to Target I also grabbed two matte lipsticks, NYX MLS17 and NYX MLS02, both in fuchsia color but with a different shade. They look great in summer with suntan.

Ho sentito parlare tanto di questo olio struccante Nº7 Beautiful Skin – Cleansing Oil che ho cercato dappertutto e ho trovato solamente online. Sono contenta di averlo preso perché è davvero un prodotto fantastico.

I heard a lot about the N°7 Beautiful Skin – Cleansing Oil make-up remover. I was looking for it everywhere but I could find it online only. I am glad that I bought it because it’s fantastic.

Ultimo ma non certo di preferenza, il Clarisonic Mia 2. In realtà ce l’ho da tanto (infatti è anche ora di cambiare la testina), ma non posso non metterlo nei miei preferiti “rosa”. Il Clarisonic pulisce la pelle davvero in profondità, e questo è evidente soprattutto quando si passa sul viso dopo la doccia, o dopo uuno struccaggio manuale. Tuttora resta un prodotto da avere.

Last but not least, here we have Clarisonic Mia 2. Actually, it’s been a long since I bought it (and it’s high time to change the head), but it’s pink, so it deserves to be in my favorites. Clarisonic deep cleans the skin and you can notice it especially if you use it after taking a shower or after removing make-up. Still one of my favorites.
