Preferiti Di Giugno: make up, skin care e curiosità

Anche Giugno è giunto al termine, e come ogni fine mese (forse avrete già capito) vi parlerò delle mie spese e dei miei preferiti. Chiedo subito scusa ai maschietti che probabilmente saranno poco interessati alla materia, ma come accennato a suo tempo nella pagina “Chi siamo” del mio blog si parla un po’ di tutto, certo di argomenti profondi, ma anche di più leggeri.

Questo mese non sono uscita molto e non ho fatto grandi acquisti. Compro online solamente quando so con certezza di cosa ho bisogno.

Nonostante sia stata spesso a casa, finalmente sono stata un giorno al mare con la mia famiglia.

Abbiamo deciso di camminare per raggiungere la spiaggia, così in questa occasione ho indossato questo copri costume lungo bianco preso da TJMAXX, negozio di cui ho già accennato nel post dei “Preferiti Di Maggio” e di cui mi sentirete parlare spesso.

Ho abbinato questo fresco ed estivo vestito, a delle infradito bianche (terribili) di gomma che ho acquistato da Old Navy. Erano di quelle prendi 2 per 5 dollari o una cosa del genere. Ci casco sempre e non imparo mai! Però a parte ciò Old Navy mi piace molto, ha delle cose davvero carine, soprattutto per bambini.

Per portare asciugamano e creme solari e tutte quelle cosine che possono essere utili in spiaggia, ho utilizzato questa borsa da mare fucsia della linea PINK di Victoria’s Secret. Qualche mese fa ho acquistato delle t-shirt online nel loro sito e in regalo ho ricevuto questa pratica, resistente e capiente borsa che mi piace molto e che ho finalmente avuto modo di utilizzare.

Gli occhiali invece vengono dall’Italia, non so di che marca siano, anche se da qualche parte dovrei avere la scatola, e sono un regalo della mia amata sorellina.

Sto utilizzando, da un po’ ormai, questa crema da giorno di Elizabeth Arden “Perpetual Moisture 24 Cream” che mi piace moltissimo: ne basta poca e lascia la pelle idratata a lungo. Così ho deciso di prendere anche quella per la notte “Good Night’s Sleep” e anche su questa non ho sbagliato. Approvate entrambe!

Per quanto riguarda il Make-up, questa volta non sono impazzita e ho preso giusto un paio di cose. A dire il vero ne ho acquistate anche altre, ma non ho ancora avuto modo di provarle, quindi ne parlerò nei preferiti di Luglio.

Era un po’ che volevo provare una BB Cream e da ignorante mi sono affidata al mio istinto e ho preso questa della linea economica NYC New York Color che è stata una dei prodotti dell’anno scelti dalla rivista Allure. L’ho usata tutto il mese e mi piace davvero tanto. Pur non coprendo come un fondotinta (ma credo questa sia proprio la peculiarità delle BB cream) lascia un incarnato liscio e compatto. Pollice su!

Della stessa linea ho provato anche il Bronzer che mi aveva consigliato @rory.makeup su Instagram. Anche questo prodotto mi piace molto. Grazie per il consiglio!

Con l’arrivo dell’estate, arriva anche in cucina la mia frutta preferita, mirtilli, fragole, lamponi, ciliegie. Intendiamoci, non è che in altri periodi dell’anno non si trovino, eh, siamo negli Stati Uniti, qui si trova tutto, ma questa è la loro attuale stagione, dove questa frutta è più buona e meno costosa. Quest’anno ho la mania delle ciliegie… Ciliegie ovunque! Nel mio piatto, ma anche in questa pochette carinissima a righe con un grande fiocco (adoro righe, fiocchi e pois!) di Betsy Johnson e nel mio nuovo portapranzo dei quali mi sono inamorata!

L’ultima volta che sono stata al supermercato, ho visto queste nuove bevande di Arizona, credo siano nuove, perché non le ho mai viste prima… Facciamo in questo modo: per lo meno sono nuove per me! A dirvi la verità però, a parte il packaging molto carino  (l’ho già scritto nei preferiti di Maggio che ammetto di essere una vittima del Marketing)  non sono stata molto soddisfatta: troppo dolci per i miei gusti. Quindi non le ricomprerò.

In America la Festa del papà non è una festività religiosa ed  è  riservata al mese di Giugno. Quest’anno il regalo dei bambini al loro daddy è  stata la Soda Machine, la macchina per fare la soda molto in voga già  da un po’ qui in USA. Se ne trovano di tutti i tipi e questa l’ho presa su Amazon, dove si sa, i prezzi sono solitamente migliori. Vi direi volentieri come si usa, ma il papà non sono io!

JUNE FAVORITES: MAKEUP, SKIN CARE & RANDOM THINGS

So June has come to an end and like every end of the month (probably you already understood) I will talk about my shopping and my favorites. First, I’d like to apologize to all the boys who probably will not be so interested in this matter, but as you can read in the blog section “About”, here we talk about everything: more serious matters, as well as trivial ones.
Last month I did not go out very often and I did not buy that much. Usually I shop online only if I know for sure what I need.
Even though I often spend time at home, I finally spent one day at the beach with my family.
We decided to reach the beach by walking, so I wore this long, white TJMAXX swimsuit cover up, a brand that I already mentioned in the post “My favorites of May” and I will keep on talking about this brand in the future.
I matched this fresh looking, summer dress with a pair of (very bad) white, rubber Old Navy flip-flops. I got them with the offer “2 for $5” or something like that. I always make the same mistake and I never learn! Anyway, I still like Old Navy a lot since they have nice stuff, especially for kids.
To carry beach towels, suntan lotions and all the small things that can be useful at the beach, I chose this fuchsia, beach bag from Victoria’s Secret’s PINK collection. A few months ago, I bought online some T-shirts and I received this practical, resistant and roomy bag as a gift. A bag that I’m loving and I finally had a chance to use.
The sunglasses come from Italy but I don’t know the brand – even though the package should be somewhere – and they were a gift from my lovely sister.
Lately I have been using the day cream Perpetual Moisture 24 Cream by Elizabeth Arden and I like it a lot: a small quantity is enough and has a long-lasting moisturizing effect. Therefore, I bought also the night cream Good Night’s Sleep and I was not wrong. Both approved!
Regarding makeup, this time I did not go crazy and I bought only a few things. Honestly, I bought more products but I did not try them yet, so I will talk about it in the favorites of July.
It’s a been a while since I wanted to try a BB Cream and not being an expert, I simply followed my instinct and bought one cream by the affordable brand NYC New York Color, also chosen by Allure magazine as one of the beauty products of the year. I have been using this cream the whole month and I am really appreciating it. It does not cover like a foundation (but I think that this is exactly a BB Cream’s peculiarity) and leaves you with a smooth and uniform complexion. Thumbs up!
From the same brand, I’ve also tried the Bronzer, as recommended by @rory.makeup on Instagram. I liked this product a lot as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
With the arrival of summer, also my favorite fruits enter my kitchen: blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and cherries. Well, not that it is not possible to find them in all seasons, eh, after all, we are in the United States; here you can find everything, but now they are in season and they taste at their best and cost less. This year I am crazy about cherries….Cherries everywhere! On my plate, but also in this lovely, striped purse with a big ribbon (I love stripes, ribbons and dots!) by Betsy Johnson, and in my new lunch tote: I fell in love with both!
The last time I went to the supermarket, I spotted these new AriZona drinks; I think they are new because I never saw them before…Let’s put it like this: at least they are new for me! To be honest, lovely packaging apart, (I already mentioned it in my Favorites of May that I admit being a victim of marketing) I am not so satisfied: they are too sweet for my taste. Therefore, I will not buy them anymore.
In America, Father’s day is not a religious holiday and it is celebrated in the month of June. This year the kids gave their dad a soda machine as a gift. It’s been a while since soda machines have become a trend in the U.S. Here you find all kinds and I bought this one on Amazon, where, we all know, usually prices are better. I would be pleased to tell you how to use it, but I am not Daddy!
